The blog was born the day after Christmas 2009 to document our adventure(s). We were married in June 2010 in Lincoln, Nebraska. And we moved to Washington D.C. in August 2010.
Life is perfect.
Scott is a student at The Corcoran College of Art and Design pursuing a degree in Digital Media Design with the goal of one day illustrating his own comic books. He is very talented and I am very proud off all the work he does. See his work at The World T.S. Banion. Did I mention that he is a full-time student and is a full-time employee at The Corcoran. His drive and passion is amazing.
I currently am a senior event assistant at an association in D.C. (the town is full of associations!). I spend my days doing what I love; working with people to plan great events and programs. I love to create themes for events and make them come to life through home-made wonders. In 2011 my sister and I opened Nilie, a children's boutique. Together we have a passion for simple, creative and honest design inspired by classic cuts and vintage fabrics.

Most of the posts are about our life; the daily battles of living in a city, the hopes, dreams and stuggles of two starting their life together and a the fun projects in between.
